Careers at Dana-Farber
The Dana-Farber Culture
Workforce Development
In 2007, Dana-Farber instituted a Workforce Development initiative to take an active and strategic approach to creating, and retaining, a more prepared and diverse workforce, to support and fulfill current and future career opportunities at Dana-Farber.
Workforce Development is a part of Human Resources' Diversity and Talent Management Team. In doing this work, we focus on three main areas:
-
School Partnerships
We prepare youth for post-secondary education and careers by providing structured college readiness and career exploration opportunities.
-
Community-Based Partnerships
We partner with community-based agencies who serve residents in preparing to enter, or re-enter, the workforce. We create pipelines to career opportunities at Dana-Farber for individuals seeking to secure employment and/or to remain employed.
-
Staff Development
We work with current employees to identify the skills they need to advance in their careers, and develops programs to support skill building and entry into post-secondary education and career development.
