How to Make a Donation
The mission of the Boutique is to augment and complement the medical care provided to people with cancer by providing the resources and tools for coping with the appearance side effects of treatment.
There are a number of ways you can help the Friends Boutique and the people it serves:
Volunteer at the Boutique
Volunteer opportunities are available in the Friends Boutique where you can assist patients and family members with the selection of items. Be part of a team of volunteers who work together to create a compassionate environment for patients and families. If interested, please contact Volunteer Services.
Make a Gift
Make a gift to Dana-Farber. Every contribution, big or small, helps. Support the Boutique's efforts in providing tools and resources for those dealing with hair loss and breast surgery changes who need financial assistance. Make a tax-deductible contribution or donate hats, scarves, etc.
The Jimmy Fund
Make a gift to the Jimmy Fund or participate in an event. All contributions go to support cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber.
Team Andy-Friends Boutique
Suport our very own Team Andy by walking with us or making a donation.
Holiday Cards and Favors
Try a set of Dana-Farber Holiday Cards for the holidays; they're a card and gift in one. For your next party, wedding or corporate event, try Dana-Farber Favors in lieu of a standard party favor.

Donate Hair
Locks of Love is a not-for-profit corporation formed for the purpose of providing quality hair prosthetics for children afflicted with medical hair loss. Locks of Love provides these custom-fitted hair prosthetics for long-term medical hair loss free of charge or on a sliding scale to financially disadvantaged children.
It takes about 12 bundles and three months to make a custom human hair piece.
To donate hair:
- Donated hair must be at least 10 inches in length
- It must be bundled and pony-tailed with cuticles running in the same direction
- It must be free of hair damaged by chemical processing
The hair must be clean and dry, placed in plastic bag, and mailed to:
