Friends of Dana-Farber

Friends' Mission

Friends, an all-volunteer organization of more than 1,500 members, takes pride in serving this recognized Institute through patient services, educational activities, and fundraising. Funds raised by Friends are allocated for research fellows and treatment programs throughout all divisions and departments at the Institute, including nursing, social services, and pastoral care. Friends provides seed money and follow-up funding for innovative basic research and clinical trials led by researchers at critical junctures in their careers and fosters programs that reach out to the community-at-large.
