Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center's new advertising campaign

Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center's current advertising campaign features a variety of cancer survivors sharing their experiences. In telling their stories, the survivors offer people facing cancer compelling reasons for hope.

In the ads, survivors of different types of cancers from various age groups and walks of life create a picture of a cancer center in which leading specialists, backed by the largest cancer research program in New England, provide compassionate and personalized care.

While the ads offer only a glimmer of each patient's experience, extended versions of their stories are available on this Web site, including the story of Amy Woodbury, a Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor who was diagnosed at the age of 17.

When Amy says in the ads, "I just owe them everything," she speaks not only of her own life, but of her daughter's as well. After a cancer recurrence, Amy underwent a stem cell transplant, an intensive, multi-week therapy that allowed her to receive the necessary high doses of chemotherapy she needed to defeat her disease. While her Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Care team focused aggressively on her cancer, they also focused on her life after the disease. By taking steps to preserve her fertility, the team enabled Amy, now 29, to give birth to her baby daughter Anna.

The commercials invite those who are interested in learning more to call for an information package that includes guides to cancer screening, treatment, and selecting a cancer center.
