Jim Stam
Jim Stam directs his own management consulting business, focusing on managing change at the plant level for large and small manufacturers.
Jim enjoys golf, skiing, tennis, reading, playing competitive bridge and, especially, cooking. An avid biker, Jim is proud to participate in his third Pan-Mass Challenge in 2006.
Jim's late wife had pancreatic cancer in 2002-2003. His family's experience at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center was extremely supportive, compassionate and professional. Jim's volunteer work at Dana-Farber is a way to be part of making things better for others. He is on the Zakim Center Executive Committee, the Patient/Family Communications Committee, and currently serves as co-chair of Dana-Farber's Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council.
A frequent business speaker, Jim welcomes the opportunity to give presentations and enjoys applying his wide range of business experience and skills, including change management, strategic planning, group facilitation, and problem-solving, to his work at Dana-Farber.
Jim has three daughters. The eldest is a movie producer in Los Angeles; his middle daughter is married and is a special education teacher in Needham; and the youngest is an attorney in Boston.
