Our Services
The center provides several services to promote psycho-oncologic and palliative care research. These services include consulting with center staff on the following areas for projects congruent with the center's mission:
- Study design (e.g., sampling strategies, recruitment)
- Data management
- Statistical analyses
- Ethical conduct of research (e.g., preparation of IRB protocols)
- Academic career mentoring of medical students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty
- Preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
- Preparation of proposals for grant sponsored research
- Opportunities to collaborate on ongoing projects
- Media consults (e.g., cancer mental health, disaster survivor assessment and treatment guidelines)
Other center activities serving the DF/HCC research community include:
- Faculty sabbaticals
- Conferences (e.g., bereavement conference)
- Seminars (e.g., psychosocial and palliative care research seminar and journal club)
- Promoting multi-disciplinary and multi-site collaborations
